Dear Families,
Students had a great first week back! We saw lots of smiles, reconnections and new connections made. Sign-up for our first extra-curricular, cross-country running for students in Grades 3-8 also happened this week. Thank you to Mr. Paul for spearheading with help from Ms. Devlin, Ms. Harding and Ms. Smith.

Drop off & pick up - times and locations
- Drop off and pick up for students in Grades 1-8 will continue to be on the east side of the school.
- On rainy days & bus cancellation days, all student pick ups will occur at the front door. Drop offs will be at the usual east side of the school.
- Parking is available at the S & A Hall on Colebrook Rd which allows for access to the sidewalk for families and students.
- There is no parking available for families in the school parking lot at drop off and pick up times. Thank you for your attention to this.
- Supervision begins at 8:50am on the yard.
- Kindergarten students can be dropped off and picked up by families at the fenced Kindergarten area.
- Please note that the gate on the west side of the school is not used for pick up or drop offs for safety reasons.
Cross Country Team
Students in grades 3 to 8 are welcome to join the Cross Country Team. The practices will be held on Monday and Friday mornings at 8 a.m. and Wednesday during the school day. The first practice will be on Wednesday, September 9th at 8:00 a.m.. In order to participate in practices and races, the permission forms on School Day must be completed first.
Looking for Soccer Coaches
Junior and Intermediate soccer season is here! To offer this opportunity for students, we are looking for parents with valid CPICs who would be available to help coach at recess times (10:45-11:05 and 1:05-1:25). Please email harro@limestone.on.ca if you are able to help.
Gino's & Subway Lunches
We will once again be offering Gino's and Subway lunches for the 26/27 school year.
- Gino's lunches will now be on TUESDAYS. Subway days will continue to be on Thursdays.
- For the month of September, Gino's will be offered on Sept 22nd & 29th and Subway will be offered on Sept 24th. Deadline to order is Friday, September 11th
- The regular schedule will start in October. The deadline to order for the month of October is Friday, September 18th.
- September and October lunch orders are available now on School Day . All of our JK parents received the information on how to register on School earlier in the week. Kindly email the school should have any questions: Harrowsmith PS
The remaining months will be added to School Day in the next couple of weeks.
IMPORTANT: If buses are cancelled due to inclement weather, lunch orders will be cancelled that day. A rescheduled day will be sent to families.
2026/27 Medical Forms.
A reminder that the LDSB requires medical forms to be completed each school year for medical conditions as well as medications taken at school. In order to make access to these forms easier for families, we have included them on our website. They can be found under the "Our School" tab, Medical forms.
Reporting Absences
A reminder to report your child's absence through the Safe Arrival program/app. The following link will provide you with instructions on how to download the app or other options to record the absence: Report My Child's Absence
IMPORTANT: If buses are cancelled due to inclement weather, and your child will not be attending on that day, you must record their absence choosing the "Inclement Weather (all transportation types and walkers)".
Acceptable Use Agreement (aka Computer Use Agreement)
Each year families need to complete the Acceptable Use Agreement as per LDSB policy. Only students from grades 1 to 8 are required to complete the form which is done electronically through School Day. We would ask that you complete this form as soon as possible.
