Early Pick Up
Picking up your child before the end of the school day can seem like a convenient way to get a head start for after-school activities or appointments, but those last few minutes of the school day are important.
It's a key time for students to hear important notices about upcoming events or special school activies or homework. This is also when teachers often wrap up the day's lessons, review what was learned and make sure everyone is on the same page for the next day.
By staying until the final bell, your child gets the full benefit of all the instructional minutes and won't miss out on important information that helps them stay on track and connected to their school community.
In order to limit end of day classroom disruptions, we ask that students leave early only if it's absolutely necessary, i.e., for an appointment. If you are picking up your child early, please send an email to your child's classroom teacher or a note with your child for their classroom teacher.
Any "same day" changes to the end of the day routine for your child must be communicated to the school office via phone call by 2:45 p.m. at the latest.
We would encourage any pick ups after 3:10 to wait in the pick up area at the east end of the school for the final bell at 3:25 p.m.
Poinsettia Fundraiser
The SAC's (aka Parent Council) Poinsettia Fundraiser is under way. To see the plants available and to order, please visit School Day.
Last day to order is Wednesday, November 18th. The plants will be available for pick up on Wednesday, December 2nd from 2 to 5 p.m.
School Advisory Council (SAC) Update
Are you interested in volunteering for SAC organized events throughout the year? If yes, please ensure you have a valid CPIC with vulnerable sector check on file with the school.
The CPIC is free with a letter from the school and is good for five years!

We are happy to let families know that we are hosting the Poinsettia Fundraiser this year. The fundraiser runs from today through to November 18th. To order or view the plants available, please visit School Day.
Milkshake Days
This year we will have Milkshake Days once per month. We have broken the days down on School Day to:
- Winter Milkshake Days: January 8, February 19 and March 5. Deadline to order is December 10th, 2026
- Spring Milkshake Days: April 9, May 21 and June 11. Deadline to order is March 4th, 2027
Monies raised through the Milkshake Fundraisers will go towards grade 8 graduation ceremony celebration, classroom manipulatives, gym equiptment, etc.

The remainder months have been added to School Day is you wish to order/pay ahead. The due dates to order are:
