We want to acknowledge the incredible work of our School Council. Planning an event like this is no easy feat. Every detail was well thought out and organized - basket and silent auction, food, games, inflatables. We also appreciate all of the support from our community. It was truly wonderful to see families laughing and enjoying the event. About Our School

Welcome to Harrowsmith Public School, home of the HAWKS: Honesty, Attitude, Work, Knowledge, and Spirit! Harrowsmith Public School serves students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. Our students come from the rural area located around the village of Harrowsmith. Our boundaries are from Florida Rd in the South, to Boyce Rd/Holleford Rd in the North, to Boundary/Loughborough Rd to the East, and to Boundary Rd to the West. Students are mostly bussed to the school. Some of our French Immersion Grade 7 and 8 students come from further North and West.

Invitation for Applications External Members for the Audit Committee

The Limestone District School Board is seeking community members with strong financial expertise and business acumen to serve as external members of its Audit Committee for a three‑year term beginning September 2026.The Audit Committee consists of three Trustees and two independent community members. Its mandate is to assist the Board of Trustees in fulfilling its governance and oversight responsibilities. Key areas of responsibility include:<ul class="editor-list-ul"><li value="1" class="editor-listitem">Oversight of the financial reporting process</li><li value="2" class="editor-listitem">Review of the internal control framework</li><li value="3" class="editor-listitem">Monitoring risk management practices</li><li value="4" class="editor-listitem">Evaluation of the performance of internal and external auditors</li><li value="5" class="editor-listitem">Ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements</li></ul>The Committee meets three times per year. Over the coming months, Limestone staff will be reviewing and updating course outlines, assessment practices, and supporting resources to ensure alignment with the new provincial requirements.The Food Sharing Project UpdateDuring the 2025-2026 school year, The Food Sharing Project supported every LDSB school by providing nutritious food and resources to students each day. On average, more than 14,000 meals and snacks were served each week, over 530,000 throughout the year, with weekly food orders reaching approximately $17,500.We are grateful to the dedicated staff who make these programs possible, and to The Food Sharing Project for continuing to support student well-being across LDSB. This support is increasingly important as many families continue to face food insecurity.
