Professional Activity (P.A.) Days are used for various activities, including assessment, report card preparation, conferencing, school-based planning, school improvement, student achievement updates, instructional strategies to support closing the gap and high achievement, and planning linked to the Board plan for student achievement. On P.A. Days, there are no classes for students.
On November 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., we will hold a system-wide PA Day with K to 6 educators gathering at Bayridge Secondary School and Grades 7 to 12 educators meeting at LCVI. Each group will hear from the Director, joined by guest speaker Dr. Andrew Campbell (Dr. ABC)—a passionate educator, advocate for racial justice in education, and proud OISE alumnus who earned his PhD in educational policy and leadership in 2014 and has since dedicated his career to fostering equity and inclusion in classrooms and beyond. Following the keynote, educators will participate in a variety of workshops, including Financial Literacy as a pathway to student engagement, Artificial Intelligence, STEAM, Literacy, and Mathematics.
